The Next-Step Lock

Before ending any sales call, make sure three things are crystal clear.

1. What happens next
Be specific.
A meeting, a proposal, a review, an introduction.
Never “we’ll be in touch”.

2. Who owns it
Is the next action yours or theirs
If it is shared, say how.

3. When it happens
Dates beat intentions every time.
No date means no momentum.

A locked next step sounds like this:
“I will send the proposal by Tuesday. You will review it by Thursday. We will speak Friday at 10am.”

That one sentence alone improves follow-through massively.
